To mark 30 years as a band in the summer of 2025 Foo Fighters surprised fans with a video dropped on YouTube with no prior fanfare. Celebrating their special anniversary the video was created for a previously unknown cover song recorded by Dave Grohl, Minor Threat's 'I Don't Wanna Hear It'.

The description for the video revealed that the instrumental for the song had recently been discovered, recorded by Dave Grohl during the recording session for the first Foo Fighters album way back in 1994 (Although the description erroneously dated it as 1995). The vocal track had been recorded that year.

The video featured a slideshow of photos from across the bands career, rather than being an actual music video.

Unfortunately not long after release the video was made private on YouTube for reasons unknown and unannounced. No other official releases of the video now exist, although it remains circulating among fans who downloaded it before being pulled.
