Foo Fighters
April 1995 to May 1996
After a handful of hastily announced one off shows Foo Fighters began their touring life as a support act for Mike Watt. This was then followed by a series of short headlining tours including their first full tour outside of the US in October 1995 and a a trip to the southern hemisphere moving into 1996. Touring for the first record concluded with a number of summer festivals in Europe followed by a well-earned rest.

May 1997 to July 1998
With Foo Fighters now an established act in high demand touring for their second record began in the UK with visits to several major cities including two nights at the Astoria. After a few further short legs touring proper in North American ran from September to November of 1997, including two nights at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. Into 1998 The band headed to Japan and Australia before ending the tour with a short jaunt around Canada for the Edgefest festival.

There is Nothing Left to Lose
November 1999 to December 2000
Touring for There Is Nothing Left to Lose had an unusual start with the band first having to secure a new guitarist. After short trips to Europe and Australia Foo Fighters then undertook their first supporting role since 1995, joining Red Hot Chili Peppers on the Spring/Summer leg of their US Tour. This was followed later in the year by their own short headlining tour of North America before returning to the UK in late 2000 to round out touring for their third record.

One By One
July 2002 to July 2003
As Foo Fighters popularity increased in the early 2000s demand for their concerts grew and in support for One By One the band moved up to arena sized shows for the first time. The band would take in several huge venues in Europe including a double at Wembley Arena in London. It was then time for another trip to the Southern Hemisphere in early 2003 before concluding their biggest ever touring cycle with an extensive run of North American venues in the summer of 2003.

In Your Honor
April 2005 to December 2006
Touring in support of the bands fifth studio album began officially in the fall of 2005 with a first for the band, a joint headlining tour alongside Weezer. Whilst their initial tours of the UK and Australasia took in the usual large arenas they then returned to the UK in the summer of 2006 for their first ever large-scale outdoor shows, performing to a then-record 85,000 people in Hyde Park, London. The second half of 2006 saw the band take on their first ever wholly acoustic tour, taking in a large amount of North American including a short leg supporting Bob Dylan.

The band picked up where they left off when supporting LP6, taking in the usual swathe of large indoor arena venues across the world including an extensive Asian leg. As they had done in the previous touring cycle following the initial performances in 2007 they returned to Europe in summer of 2008 to play, for the first time as a headline act, stadiums with the highlight being two sold out shows at the Legendary Wembley Stadium in London, England.

It was a case of “more of the same” when it came to supporting the hugely successful Wasting Light album, Foo Fighters taking in arenas and other large venues across the globe including an expansion in Australia and New Zealand, taking to huge stadiums for the first time down under. The band also headed to South America in 2012 with first ever shows in Chile and Argentina. Touring concluded with a huge run of festival headlining appearances.

Another album, another world tour. Following some early promo shows at tiny venues in North America the band once again headed out to conquer the world, hitting countless venues packed with thousands of fans. The expansion to stadium and other large outdoor venues continued into North America and wider Europe for the first time, with huge headline shows at Citi Field in New York and Fenway Park in Boston among others.

Foo Fighters popularity showed no signs of waning as they headed out to support their ninth studio album, the band heading out to huge venues around the world including a first ever show in Greece, a return to Singapore and more huge shows at world famous venues such as Wrigley Field in Chicago and two nights at Madison Square Garden.

Medicine At Midnight
June 2021 to December 2021
Touring in support of Medicine at Midnight was massively hampered by the worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic with countless shows having to be postponed or cancelled entirely. The band had planned to re-enact their 1995 “Van Tour” on its 15th anniversary but that was scuppered, as were wider 25th Anniversary plans. Foo Fighters were eventually back on the stage in late 2021 but plans for further touring were again curtailed due to the tragic death of Taylor Hawkins.
But Here We Are
May 2023 to August 2024
A changed Foo Fighters returned to the stage in 2023 with a new drummer and a new feel. Whilst many of the usual tour stops were hit with shows in North America, Europe and Australasia touring in support of their record But Here We Are was much shorter than previous tour cycles, with far fewer shows overall and many regions skipped over, including much of South America and Asia, other than a single appearance at the 2023 Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
