Recording for Foo Fighters fourth studio album had, to put it mildly, not gone to plan. It had almost broken the band up and a million dollars worth of recording figurately thrown in the trash. The completion of recording was not going to be straightforward either, with 50% of the band recording in one location and the other half elsewhere.
