Recording for The Colour And The Shape is not going as planned and to make matters worse, Dave Grohl has just been served divorce papers. Over the 1996 Christmas period the band take a break but before they re-convene, a technically homeless Dave Grohl heads to WGNS Studios in D.C. to lay down some new ideas, once of which would go on to be Foo Fighters signature track.
