In early 1994 Nirvana head to Robert Lang Studios, hoping to get back into a recording mindset and lay the groundwork for their potential fourth studio album. There is one key problem though, Kurt Cobain hasn't shown up at the start of the session. Dave Grohl takes advantage of the time and works on his own material, with Krist Novoselic lending a hand.
