Stewart Copeland is an American musician and composer, famously one-third of British rock band The Police. Taylor Hawkins was a massive fan and came to be counted as a good friend of Stewart’s, a friendship that was formed around 2005 when Stewart was invited to join the band at a show in Mountain View, CA and then immediately do the 24 Hours of Foo MTV2 special in New York. Stewart made a few more appearances with the band, and Foo Fighters supported The Police for one show on their reunion tour in 2007. Stewart participated in both Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts, joining the band on The Police songs ‘Next To You’ and ‘Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic’.
