John Paul Jones is most known as the bassist with legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. Dave Grohl was a fan of the band from childhood and finally got his dream to come true of playing with him when he invited John to take part in the recording sessions for Foo Fighters studio album 'In Your Honor'. He recorded a piano track for 'Miracle' and then also recorded mellotron on 'Another Round' and the unreleased 'Oh, Yeah'.
A few years later Dave joined up with John once again as they along with Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme formed the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. The self titled album was released in November of 2009 and the band went out on tour through to mid 2010.
In 2022 John reunited with Them Crooked Vultures at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts.
