Joe Beebe was guitar technician for Dave Grohl from the early 2000s until the late 2010s, approximately 18 years in total. Joe also plays guitar himself and had his own band, BB and his Fistful of Babies.
In late 2004, whilst Foo Fighters were recording their double album epic 'In Your Honor', the band were in the process of recording one of the acoustic tracks, 'Virginia Moon', which Dave Grohl envisioned having a jazzy, Bossa Nova style guitar part. Neither he nor Chris Shiflett felt they had the chops for the style of guitar playing required but Dave, knowing that Joe did, asked if he would help rather than having to call someone else in. Put on the spot, Beebe laid down the track in less than an hour.
