Joel Zimmerman, better known as deadmau5, is a renowned electronic music producer. While known for the original music he creates, he began gaining popularity with collaborations with mainstream artists, most notably Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance with “Professional Griefers”.
In 2011, Foo Fighters put together a 12-inch single for the song “Rope” from their seventh studio album Wasting Light. Included on the single was a remix of the song created by deadmau5. This remix includes unique re-recorded vocals.
At the Grammy Awards in 2012 the band invited deadmau5 to join them as they performed the remixed version of the track.
