Chris Chaney is an American musician who was a long-time friend and bandmate of Taylor Hawkins, beginning with their time together as members of Alanis Morissette’s touring band in 1995 and 1996. Chris was a member of two of Taylor's side projects: Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders and NHC.
In 2018, Chris substituted as bassist for Nate Mendel at the Foo Fighters’ show in Pittsburgh, while Nate flew home to be with his family after his wife had just given birth to their twins. Chris has performed with many artists in his career including AC/DC.
