The rumours were true - Foo Fighters set for first ever shows in India in January 2027

Yes, the rumours are true. After months of whispers and supposed leaks it has finally been confirmed today (June 15) that Foo Fighters will be playing for the first ever time in India next year.

Two shows have been booked in January 2027 as part of the "Bandland on Tour" concert series which are produced and promoted by Book My Show Live. The 2026 edition of the concert series was cancelled after headliners Muse were forced to cancel but they're back with a bang next year with these two huge shows headlined by Foo Fighters.

The first is set to take place on January 29 in the city of Bengaluru at the Bengaluru LIVE venue. The band will be supported by The Pretty Reckless, Die Spitz, Alain Johannes and Pinkshift.

Night two takes place in India's largest city Mumbai on January 31 at the Mahalaxmi Race Course. They will again be joined by The Pretty Reckless and Die Spitz, as well as Still In Therapy and Mali.

Rumours about the band playing in India began as far back as last year with suggestions locally that promoters were trying to bring the band the the country. These rumours seemed to have been proven true yesterday however, with the promoters Book My Show posting a not so cryptic teaser image on social media channels. The image posted showed a white kick drum against a red background, echoing strongly the music video for 'The Pretender'.

If that wasn't hint enough they went further, with the disintegrator gun logo from the first album very clearly placed atop the drum skin. If that wasn't confirmation enough the band themselves commented on the most with the side eyeing emoji. Fans were pretty much convinced but it wasn't until today that it was 100% confirmed, the full announcement that the band would be hitting the country for the first time in their 31 year history.
